Shipments, home-free delivery, local delivery & pickup locations

Tampopo Foods guarantees 100% safe delivery.

We deliver orders mainly to the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg.

If you wish to place an order with a delivery address in another EU country or country outside the EU, feel free to contact us for advice about the ordering procedure. 

We will inform you then about the product and shipping prices, including optional export/customs clearance costs and additional VAT charges, which differ by country.

Once you fill out your shopping basket and specify your shipping address, the applicable shipping costs valid for your country are automatically calculated.

The shipping costs of your order are determined by the weight, value and delivery location of your order.
This is calculated automatically, corresponding to the chart listed above.
To achieve the most cost-efficient shipment, you may adjust the following options before submitting the payment:
- local pick-up if your shipping address is in Amsterdam.
- to add an item/s to reach the home-free delivery limit.
- or add/reduce multiple items to reach the desired weight category.

So, how fast do I receive my order?
Your order is ready to go between 2-4 working days.

The following schedule is mostly active:
Orders received by Monday 10 AM = shipping or pick-up, latest by the next Saturday*
* depending upon the stock availability

When we receive your paid order, and should we have any questions (e.g. product availability, delivery adjustments, etc.), we will contact you ASAP to discuss these. 

If a specific product needs to be restocked from our supplier, your order may be delivered in 10-15 working days.
We will notify you and discuss the available options with you.


Note:
Only fully paid orders will be shipped. 
May your order, for any reason, be shipped before the full payment is received; the order content/the goods remain a 100% property of Tampopo Foods.
The invoice/offer payment term for such delivery is due within 14 calendar days.
Tampopo Foods shall have the right to a penalty of 0.1 % of the total order price for each commenced day of delay.
We do not keep backorder reservations.
Also, once your order is checked out and paid, you cannot change your order or delivery details.



Shipment costs & home-free delivery 
We work with the DPD Parcel Service partner to deliver NL and EU countries deliveries.
You can follow your order journey through a track-and-trace link that our courier will email you once your order has left our warehouse.


Attention, Important!
Have you chosen to get your order shipped to you?
Our carrier, the DPD parcel service, will keep you informed by email about the progress of your shipment from the moment it is collected from us.
Please keep an eye on your email or spam box daily from that moment on.
On the day of delivery, you will receive an email from DPD confirming the planned, estimated delivery time.
If the indicated day and time are not convenient for you, please use the provided link directly to reschedule the delivery to another day. 
Or redirect the delivery to a neighbour.


Beware
If you miss your parcel's delivery without rescheduling or redirecting it, it will be automatically brought to the closest DPD parcel shop. 
Then, you will have to collect your parcel within the specified 7-day limit yourself. You will receive the details and address of the parcel shop by email. 
Unfortunately, it will no longer be possible for us to request a second delivery attempt. 

Should you fail to pick up your parcel within this 7-day limit, it will be returned to Tampopo Foods in the Netherlands.
Unfortunately, no reimbursement of the shipment costs is possible in such a case.
You can decide to let your order be shipped anew or cancel it.
Additional shipment and handling costs will apply, and we will contact you with the details.

Your order is packed and shipped with utmost care.
Besides attention to choosing sustainable packaging materials, waste reduction and recycling, we strive to minimise the environmental impact. Yet, protecting your goods during the transportation is essential.
Please, follow our recommendations that you will find enclosed in your order, and help us recycle.

** The indicated home-free delivery value is valid for an order with a maximum total shipment weight of 40kg, which includes the packaging and product-protecting material. 
We will send you a discounted shipping cost estimation for larger orders and pallet shipments and advise you on how to save on shipping costs by possibly adjusting your order.

Remote region/isolated area surcharge
The remote region/isolated area surcharge is valid for all the Dutch islands and half-islands.

The following postal codes are subject to this surcharge:

8899  Vlieland
9161 - 9164  Ameland
9166  Schiermonnikoog

The surcharge costs are Euro 8,50 per parcel and will be invoiced to the client once Tampopo Foods receives the order with the above-mentioned postal code as the shipping address.

Also, some other EU countries have postal codes/areas/provinces that are subject to the remote region/isolated area surcharge policy. Additional surcharge prices and more details are available upon request.

Besides quick & effortless delivery to your home through the DPD Parcel Service, you can also pick up your order free of shipping/delivery charges at one of our two pickup locations.

This location is close to the dunes and the seaside, surrounded by beautiful nature. And, in our immediate neighbourhood, there is also a traditional beer brewery worth a visit. So, feel invited to combine your shopping with a lovely walk and sightseeing.  

Picking up your order is available on Saturdays between 10 AM and 5 PM*, and by appointment. Note: * CLOSED last Saturday of the month.

If you like to come and shop on another day, please call or message us to make an appointment and ensure that we are available. Thank you.

Travel directions:
Driving from Castricum/Bakkum, the entrance road to our location is on your left side, at the number 21A (banner "Opslag ruimte te huur"). 
It is about 50m before the entrance to the Nelis Baltus garden centre. When you drive in, continue straight on, along with the main building, towards the sea freight containers. Turn left to reach the back of the building. Our entrance is marked with the Tampopo Foods sign.

We are very happy to inform you that Esther's Cookery Shop has successfully relocated, and Esther and Jaier Erwteman continue their cooperation with us, serving as the Tampopo Foods pick-up point. 

With their help, you can now easily pick up your order in the heart of Amsterdam and save considerably on shipping costs.

Esther's Cookery Shop is an amazing oasis of super-delicious vegetarian cooking where you can get inspired and buy the best-quality Mediterranean culinary delicacies, spices, tahini, olive oil, and cookbooks. Also, you can shop a growing selection of Tampopo Foods' best specialities, such as barley & brown rice miso Yamaki, shiro miso, nama shoyu Yamaki, toasted sesame oil, and kombu shiitake dashi.

Once you place an order in our Tampopo Foods webshop and choose pickup at Esther's Cookery Shop in Amsterdam, you will receive a confirmation, followed by a notification when your order is ready for pickup.
We usually deliver the orders to Amsterdam on Friday afternoon, ready for pickup on Saturday.

The pick-up options at Esther's Cookery are preferably on Saturdays between 11 AM and 5 PM.

If you cannot pick up your order on Saturday, see Esther's Cookery website for valid opening hours throughout the week and on festive days.
